Die hohe Lage (bis \u00fcber 4.300 Meter) benachteiligt Verbrennungsmotoren, weil ihnen mit zunehmender H\u00f6he Sauerstoff fehlt und somit Leistung verloren geht. Elektromotoren sind davon nicht betroffen und k\u00f6nnen ihre volle Power entfalten \u2013 das macht sie zum idealen Zugpferd f\u00fcr zukunftsorientierte Konzepte.<\/p>\n\n<h6>Elektrische Rekorde und Innovation<\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2018 schaffte Volkswagen mit dem vollelektrischen I.D. R Pikes Peak einen Meilenstein: Romain Dumas stellte einen Allzeitrekord auf und schlug s\u00e4mtliche Fahrzeuge mit Verbrennungsmotor. Auch die Ladeinfrastruktur vor Ort wurde nachhaltig ausgerichtet \u2013 der Strom f\u00fcr den Rennwagen kam aus Generatoren, die mit Glycerin betrieben wurden und nahezu emissionsfrei arbeiteten. Seitdem zeigt das Bergrennen j\u00e4hrlich, wie unterschiedliche Hersteller mit immer leistungsst\u00e4rkeren und effizienteren Elektroautos am Start sind: Der Ford F-150 Lightning SuperTruck EV (1.600 PS!), SuperVan 4 und Hyundai-Fahrzeuge sorgten f\u00fcr neue Bestzeiten und Aufsehen.<\/p>\n\n<h6>Nachhaltigkeit als Wettbewerbsfaktor<\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Pikes-Peak-Rennen ist inzwischen ein Schaufenster f\u00fcr gr\u00fcne Technologien, alternative Energietr\u00e4ger und innovative Batteriel\u00f6sungen. Die Kombination aus extremen Bedingungen, internationalem Wettbewerb und technologischer Offenheit macht die Veranstaltung zu einem Vorreiter f\u00fcr nachhaltigen Motorsport.
