Das Programm daf\u00fcr hei\u00dft \u201eNASCAR IMPACT\u201c und ist der Nachfolger des 2008 gestarteten \u201eNASCAR Green\u201c-Programms. Als Basis dient die erstmalige Erfassung aller Emissionen in der Saison 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"h6\"><strong>Kraftstoffe<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seit 2011 verwendet die NASCAR-Serie Sunoco Green E15, einen Kraftstoff, der zu 15% aus Ethanol besteht. Ethanol ist ein erneuerbarer Brennstoff, der die CO<sub>2<\/sub>-Emissionen im Vergleich zu reinem Benzin reduziert und die Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von fossilen Brennstoffen verringert. NASCAR plant die Entwicklung eines 100 % erneuerbaren Rennkraftstoffs.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"h6\"><strong>NASCAR Electric<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auch die NASCAR-Serie besch\u00e4ftigt sich damit, wie man die CO<sub>2<\/sub>-Emissionen im Motorsport reduzieren kann. Erste Testfahrten mit einem elektrischen NASCAR-Fahrzeug haben bereits stattgefunden. Auch Hybridantrieb und Brennstoffzelle sind f\u00fcr die NASCAR in Zukunft ein Thema.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"h6\"><strong>Recycling und Abfallmanagement<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NASCAR hat Programme zur Wiederverwendung und zum Recycling von Reifen eingef\u00fchrt. Dies reduziert den Abfall und den Bedarf an neuen Rohstoffen. Bei Rennen und Veranstaltungen werden zudem umfangreiche Recyclingprogramme durchgef\u00fchrt, um die Menge des anfallenden Abfalls zu reduzieren. Dazu geh\u00f6ren die Bereitstellung von Recyclingbeh\u00e4ltern und die Zusammenarbeit mit Recyclingunternehmen. Das \u201eBusch Light Clash\u201c im Februar 2023 im LA Memorial Coliseum war die erste abfallfreie Veranstaltung des Sports. Laut NASCAR erreichte das Rennen eine Abfallvermeidungsrate von 90,1 %, wodurch mehr als 11,7 Tonnen Abfall nicht auf Deponien abgelagert werden mussten.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"h6\"><strong>Energieeffizienz und erneuerbare Energien<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mehrere NASCAR-Strecken, wie z.B. der Pocono Raceway, haben Solaranlagen installiert, die einen Teil des Energiebedarfs der Rennstrecken decken. Der Pocono Raceway betreibt nach eigenen Angaben die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Solaranlage in allen Sportarten weltweit. Mittelfristig sollen alle NASCAR-eigenen Rennstrecken und Einrichtungen mit 100 % erneuerbarer Energie betrieben werden und auch EV-Ladestationen f\u00fcr die Besucher bieten. Als erstes globales Sportevent ist die NASCAR der Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) beigetreten.<\/p>\n\n<h6 class=\"h6\"><strong>Eventplanung<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NASCAR hat Ma\u00dfnahmen eingef\u00fchrt, um den Abfall bei Veranstaltungen zu reduzieren. Dies umfasst die Nutzung wiederverwendbarer oder kompostierbarer Materialien und die F\u00f6rderung von Recycling. Ma\u00dfnahmen zur Reduzierung des Wasserverbrauchs und zum Schutz der nat\u00fcrlichen Ressourcen werden bei der Planung und Durchf\u00fchrung von Rennen
